22488VIC Certificate II in EAL (Employment)

The Certificate II in EAL (Employment) outcomes focus on the development of English language speaking, listening, reading and writing skills together with electives selected to assist students with finding and applying for work.

The course teaches students the skills needed to work in Australia, as well as understand the Australian work culture. The course is industry and nationally recognized, and is delivered by the following RTO- Brotherhood of St Laurence (0113).

Entry Requirements

Every student will be required to complete the English Interview and Assessment test and a Pre-Training Interview. Students must also be at least 18 years of age.

Career Pathway

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare students for entry in further English language study including 22486VIC Certificate III in EAL (Access).

Core Units

VU21297 - Develop and document a learning plan and portfolio with guidance

VU21483 - Participate in simple conversations and transactions for employment

VU21484 - Read and write simple texts for employment

VU21485 - Observe and report on activities in a workplace

VU21486 - Prepare to work effectively in an Australian workplace

*Elective units delivered will be at the discretion of the RTO delivering the course
